Nani non olent, no sir, not at all!

My FLGS used to have a box of those on their shelf back in the 90s. I often stood before it, wondering if I should buy it just for fun. Seeing those makes me regret my decision not to do so.

Bonkers. Everyone knows Roman legionary dwarves had to be clean shaven.

 ;)

Nice painting Shaun.

Same here, little shop in Luton had em for ages and by time I thought why not it had shut!.

Fantastic work Red, wonder how they fit with the Westwind ones. Also if you can track down Mongrel he had some sculpted (clean shaven) by ebob a couple of years ago but they never saw the light of date :-[

Brilliant painting and the models are far superior to the Roman dwarves in my attic, can't remember who they were by though, some Scottish company IIRC

You did a SPLENDID job on the Short, Grumpy Legionaires... I thought they were Harlequin Minis. Your brushwork & basing are OUTSTANDING! VERY WELL DONE!

I did a unit of them years ago for my friend, John...they're lurking in his display case. My feelings about Romans after suffering through years of Latin made every moment spent on them an ordeal. I hope you enjoyed the process more than moi.

Really dandy and all that, but I thought that Romans were supposed to have green skirts and blue shields.  ;)  ::)

Very nice painting anyway. I think these are old Mark Simms sculpts?

I have a load of these, they are great.

Funny that you like and have painted these, but really didn't like the Pax Bochemannica stuff...

Anywho, great painting!

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/
