How far would you extrapolate figures for VSF?
« on: 10 August 2013, 07:55:06 PM »
I am looking at Gringo 40s figures for Spain on Venus and human foes of same and of native life...

Specifically, Villistas (1910/1920) and The Contra Rebels plus the Austrian Legion (Maximillian Adventure) but would their weapons and/or clothing be excessively out of place?  See http://www.gringo40s.com/austrian-legion.html and http://www.gringo40s.com/contra-guerillas.html and http://www.gringo40s.com/villistas.html for specifics, please, of the figures.  The Austrians would be potentially another European faction for VSF.  The other two would be irregulars for VSF and possible Cuban/Puerto Rican/Philippine rebels for the SAW fighting and pre-SAW rebellions.

Comments, please.

Gracias,

Glenn

The Austrians and Contras are smack bang in the Victorian era anyway, they fit perfectly. I'm planning on using the Austrians myself.

The Vilistas would be fine too

Even if they were not, I would not worry too much.
It is VS Fiction  after all.

The man has it! Completely agree.

The thing is Glenn, this forum has proven there is a very wide definition of what VSF is to different people. Some of it is quite tenuous but hey, that's the rich tapestry that is VSF. In the case of what you're proposing......... damn good idea old chap!  :)
Don't!

Ordered a few figures as a sample.

Edit: two spanish infantryman and 5 Austrians plus a Soldera plus the Dynmamite gun (Captured during Spain's successful defense of the Philippines...)   8)

Another edit:  The Paypal doesn't seem to reflect the proper postage if my math is correct...   ::)   >:(   o_o

It is worth pointing out that some of the extra companies for HVF shall, in all likelihood, be from south of the border...

Amazon is having trouble delivering things (another order) on time (Duh) and heaven forbid, it all arrives at one time in one normal sized box.  Still can't say I ever look forward to dealing with them.
