Emir of Bukhara Guard's Uniform Question

I was reading in one of my Osprey books about the Emir of Bukhara's guard.  It states they wore red, British tunics and Fez.  Is it safe to assume they were Victorian tunics? or Red versions of a WWI tunic?  Likewise, anyone know what the Fez looked like?  There are many fez variations.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
