Wow, yeah, they look like Reaper Bones figs or some such. Nothing there says GW to me.

That said, the monk at least has the same equipment and basic pose as the original citadel figure, and I can see some influences from the late 80s editions  in others, so maybe its not a bad thing that they aren't going down the More Muscles, More Skulls, More Spikes route that I associate with their more modern output.

The Talisman minis don't look like GW 'cause they're not. The game is being made by Avalon Hill, it will be licenced out or whatever like their other old boardgames like Fury of Dracula.

Never! Drunk interwebbery is a fine tradition and deserves to be upheld!

Oops, missed that bit of info. I misread it as made in cooperation with AH, so assumed GW do the minis and AH do the rest. Kinda surprised GW are showing minis they didn't make on Warhammer Community.

Also, just to agree with Mr Cubs, drunk interwebbery is a fine tradition.

Agreed, I just bought a random box of minis yesterday under the influence. No idea what I'm going to get.

Those who've been able to make the Dwarf pre-orders mention being limited to one of each?!? I understand GW wanted to crackdown on scalpers, but how does this work for the time limited Made to Order stuff? To get free postage, I order product through my local GW, but multiple orders will probably be flagged for cancellation.  :-I I was originally planning on purchasing a 40 figure Ulther's Dragon Company, then saw the quoted prices - $42 for command and $52 for troopers - and decided to scale down to 20 figures and getting the rest off eBay, but now I can only buy 9 or 10?!? Command group I can understand, but you're going to need more than 5 regular troopers.

Yeah. I ended up passing on the Dwarfs because of the silly rules. GW - still getting it wrong, after all these years. ™️

Since none of the Dwarf releases were MTO, I sent GW an email over the weekend, asking if the same limit applies for the limited runs - no response yet. To get free shipping, I've been ordering through my local GW store, so maybe the manager could give me some advice.

I tired the eBay route and thought I was getting a 17 figure unit for ~$180, but didn't like the British seller's attitude: asked if he offered a method other than Global Shipping Program (£26.15) and he got back with Royal Mail Tracked plus additional insurance (£17), but then added eBay's fee of 14% and then rounded it up to £20, claiming not much difference. I had to look up what the 14% was and asked for confirmation if he's passing the seller's fee on to me. His defensiveness proved telling and the eBay Community is now dominated by fee avoiding wankers.

Agreed on eBay. It’s a measure of utter last resort. For anything.

I’ve pretty much given up on GW, their supply issues and weird ordering system, coupled with their new incredibly awful website, just make me more frustrated.

GW's response:

At this time, I do not have any specific information on new products and I would recommend keeping an eye on the Warhammer Community Page and within White Dwarf for this information. You can find the Warhammer Community Page here

At least answer if there's a limitation on how many clam packs I could purchase. In my feedback, I said I'm considering asking for a refund on $40 of vouchers I purchased for myself - my way of budgeting for purchases.

Yes, cancel the GW purchase!

I had the MTO 6 month maybe Orc Wyvern on order - and cancelled. I mean - they do a window of days to get 6 month delivery window items - without any real timeframe? I ALWAYS use PayPal with GW now. And I’m glad I did: more than a week of back and forth nothing answers and promises of a refund, and the only way I got one was by filing a PayPal dispute. I literally don’t even trust GW, anymore …

Eugh... I hated the MTO  approach for the Orcs and Goblin release...
What was it? A weeks availability on a giant, trolls, a character on a wyvern... major units for the army and I couldn't justify or afford ordering all of that within a single week and I now have no chance... and it doesn't look to be something that the other armies went through... anything coming out for Brets, TK and Dwarfs seem to be available (well...  ::) ...) and not MTO as far as I can recall...

And yes... no timeframes on things you have to rush out to purchase if you want any chance of getting it...

Grrr...    >:(.    Table Flip!!!!!!!

It shows how little GW really listen to its customers. They'd much rather make a quick buck right now, we are just an inconvenience after all.
