Nice additions!

I'll resume the work on another archer tonight - had to pause because of an eye injury I must have inflicted on myself during the night  :(  The GP had to anesthetize my eye to take away the irritation to give it time to heal. Crazy.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

All rather nice.

Love the Teutonic knights Malcolm. How did you do the snow on the bases?

Thanks.   :)

Snow?

I do the base "as normal" then with a toothpick "dollop" blobs of white polyfilla.  It's quite wet and settles as it dries but, importantly, doesn't crack.  Once completely set I just give the whole base a dry brush with white paint.

(I can't recall where I read this method, but every time I read some "complicated" snow-base tutorial I remind myself of the polyfilla "trick."   ::) )

Sounds much better than using baking soda and/or other substances that may react with moisture  lol

More excellent submissions on show there, gents! Well done, all.

#76- Scottish spearman, Otterburn 1388

Tried to re-size the images a bit, so that they're a bit less unwieldy and microscopic. Dunno how well this is going to work. If anyone can suggest a good set of pixel dimensions, I'm all ears!

And a shot without the pike getting in the way of the face!

Keep up the good work, guys!
Cheers
Iain

Aha - I see another batch in progress Malcolm  ;)

Makes me chilly just to look at them...

That's a lovely paintjob too Iain.

Now, here's my next one...

No.78 - The Flemish Bastard
(With apologies to my friends in the Low Countries  :D)

Perry plastic with a Fireforge head!
(Suitably rusted, because the helm was the property of a distant forbearer!)

Excellent.  Although for some reason the helmet makes me think of Ned Kelly.   ::)

I thought the same thing. Very Ned Kelly  lol
I think it's the oddness of the great helm juxtaposed with a firearm!

Ok, I posted a pictures of some of my Norman Dark Ages warband earlier but I now have some completed figures and I'll start dropping a few in here. I paint mostly units so if one gets posted there are sure to be about ten other done at the same time... ;D I have been painting like a madman trying to assemble a 6 point SAGA warband, about 34 figures depending on the units you build for the points. I'm currently up to 4 points and can game with that so after a few games this afternoon I thought Id toss one up to get started. Took quick picks so excuse the quality, I'll take more time later. There are no transfers or printed flags on these guys.

No. 79 - Norman Knight figure from Gripping Beast
