Captain, I seriously envy your ability to paint horses. Mine always seem to look like they're from Poundshop farm animal packs!

I can't say I have the slightest clue as to what you mean... Cagoule was given as an alternative word to 'hood' by Google Translate (I didn't want to use 'hotte').  :)

Does cagoule mean somthing in English, too?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

He is from the same pack of 3rd Ed. Warhammer Bretonnian Archers as my first entry (I found 2 packs of 4, one pack already prepped and primed about 15 years ago, when trying to organize stuff from a couple of crates in my garage attic some time ago - and, YES, I am that disorganized after moving home about 4-5 times during that period).

Yeah, it's much the same in English, it usually means a light jacket with a hood. An alternative name for a similar thing is a 'wind-cheater'.

I was making an eye-wateringly hilarious pune, or play on words. I declare it to be the most whimsical jape of the season.

lol I believe they were making a joke as to what is being revealed by the wind under the wind blown jacket of your miniature....the "Badum-tish" or as I would have written "Baadoom Tish" is for the sound a drum makes, accenting the punchline of a comedians joke, usually a play on words type joke. Well at least that's what I got out of the exchange... ;D hope I interput it correctly... lol

Yup, I made out from the drum 'touche' that some joke must have been made, it was just the meaning of the word-play that eluded me. I'm not a native English speaker, thus some words are simply not part of my vocabulary.  :)

Ah, the perils of international joshing...  ;)

Great painting on your viking, Figouze. Although wasn't Harald famous for his long chainmail skirts? The ones on this Gripping beast version look more midi  :)
