CAPTAIN BLOOD, lovely work as usual, I like the fact that while we seem to be posting neck and neck, our styles are so different! I would love to see one of your figures in person as minis look sometimes very different then.

Personally I rather like 200 as it means I might actually be able to contribute

I suppose it should vary depending on the theme. Some will naturally appeal to more painters than others.

I think the original two painting clubs (Ancients and Pulp) both filled up more quickly than expected. Welf, not unreasonably, therefore pushed it out to 200 for this one.
Unfortunately, Medieval Adventures appears to be a bit of a niche interest in the LAF universe compared with those other two.
And there seem to be relatively few participants  
But hey - a few of us are doing our best!

Just wait til it comes to a Fantasy painting club... You could set the group target at 500 figures, and it will probably be achieved within 24 hours...  
Fantasy and sci-fi is where the lion's share of the activity is at on LAF these days...  
(Yes, I'm an unreconstructed old curmudgeon)

I shouldn't let your Mercenary go out in the expected high winds though Captain Blood- with those feathers, he might get blown over!!

On the subject of the target number for the Order, I think 200 better than 100, as it gives us busy or slow painters time to participate.I would paint more to help the numbers along, but I am starting to be busier with my work in the run up to Christmas...I am a slow painter as well! I think we are getting there though...

I agree that 200 is a better figure than 100 as it gives me more time to get my painting mojo back on. I had just finished nigh on 40 Norman cavalry just before this started so they were not eligible for inclusion, and I have moved onto something else in my lead pile. I need to get started on the Norman infantry but I am still pulling the forces together and it will be several weeks before I get round to putting paint on them. The higher limit may allow me to get at least one of them on board before the 'competition' closes.

@Jim (I think?) - where does that blacksmith come from? I am always on the look out for decent medieval villagers/townsfolk and he would make a great addition to my collection if still available to buy.

He's from Crusader miniatures and there's a few peasants in the range but for our games I've done a few weapon swaps.
