Mech's in Richter Scale

So My group brought the giant pirate game to a close at Historicon this year. Now we are moving on to something out of this world........








It's all in 25/28 mm and will be around 700 square feet when completed.
Many of the mechs are still awaiting weathering and detail but these concept pic's are close to the Idea we are going for.

Nope, we have two of the original armorcast resin kits, along with the two vulture and two atlas.
I've grabbed every garage kit I could lay my hands on from around the globe. Most of those are in mid-production.

There's a Shadowhawk [Dougram], a Griffin [Roundfacer] and a Thunderbolt [Ironfoot] in first pictures. All 1/72 Dougram kits if I'm not mistaken, or did you get hold of the 1/48 ones?

Loving the Panther too (boo, hiss: Kurita ). Does it scale well with the Dougram kits?

I'm in the very starting stages of a 15mm Battletech project, so I'm heavily read up on all unseen mechs right now. Problem is, I'm trying to get the mechs to be as close to their Battletech sizes as possible, which means extensive research into kits, toys and gashapons and the models' sizes. Not easy, let me tell you.

The camo patterns on these are great too. What factions are the forces?

And I have to mention the terrain, which is just as superb! I can only imagine what 28 tables of cityscape will look like. Madness I tell you!

Will the tables be interlinked in-game (a unit moving off one table edge, to appear on the table next to it), or will they be seperate arenas? It's obvious that they can't all be shoved together without some way of moving the models and miniatures...

I think they are 1/72nd, I'm using the original Ral-Partha 25mm infantry. It all blends well.
Yes a Kurita Mech...The others are "The Rough Riders" from House Steiner. The two original infantry platoons produced belong to those factions. I'm not Really using the battletech rules, they have always been a bit clunky for large scale gaming and this will be a convention game. The final table build will be around 24ft by 24ft. It will be the same map with walkways in between 8ft sections. I want the idea of combined arms, on this scale infantry are more fun.

We didn't stick to BT fluff, but got whatever mechs and vehicles we could for a 28mm game using the "Mech Attack" rules.  Nothing as big or impressive as what you're doing though.

Hmmm, good idea on digging up the older Robotech/Exosquad kits...they're a bit pricey but scale well.  In fact going old school Battletech you could find a lot of decent 1/60 scale (thus, 28mm-ish) Robotech kits by hitting up Hobbylink Japan etc.
