Rogue Trader marine blast fist

I have seen a mini with this weapon, does anyone have any idea what it does statswise?

I believe it was the Captain with the hand flamer.

It acts like a standard flamer but uses the tiny flame template that used to be in the Rogue Trader book.

I'd always thought it was a plasma pistol, which I guessed from the front page of Rogue Trader:

God, I love that piece of artwork. Brings back so many memories.

I was always under the impression it was a customised bolter. Sort of along the lines of the mini knuckle weapons.

I swear that I saw an old GW advertisement that had little arrows to his hand-weapon calling it a flamer...

In the big scheme of things, it could be anything though :D
