A pre painted, 1/72nd scale diecast F-84 Thunderjet in Portuguese markings. I've decided my next project will be the Portuguese colonial wars of the 1960s and '70s. Will be commissioning 28mm figures.

A big order for "Check Your 6: Jet Age", for the Ogaden War (1977-78.) Heroics and Ross. For the Ethiopians: seven 1/300 F5 "Freedom Fighters", three MiG 21s. For the Somalis: Five MiG 21s, three MiG 19s, three MiG 17s. Also got two Canberras for the Ethiopians - but I'll be honest with you, guys - they are not good models. Some bad pitting, and the detail is just not up to par, compared to the NavWar Canberra I had already been hoarding for my '82 Argies, so I went ahead and painted up the NavWar, and when I get around to finishing the Argies (next on the list), I'll try to make do with one of these H&R models.

The rest of the models, happily, are quite nice, and more than adequate.

Almost forgot. In 1/144 for Aerodrome 2: four "Sweet" MC.200s, and four early model Hurricanes. Already have many other planes in this scale, but the first I've done in 1/144 in over a year, aside from three Italian Stukas done over the Christmas holiday. Should be fun.

Fujimi 1/48 Alouette III helicopter, looks smaller than 1/48 and that suits me perfectly.

3 Can-do Stukas for Libya 1941, the snake version
2 Altaya SM 79 Sparvieros
All pre-painted 1/144 scale.

Have to recommend Matt Sneddon (mehusla on Ebay) for his excellent customer focus.

Hobby Master 1/72 T-6 Texan for my Portuguese project. Appropriate decals on order.

1/48 Academy MH-6 Littlebird. Going to convert this by putting benches along the side. I think that the Empress US Special Forces can probably be converted to sit on them. At any rate my exisiting Empress minis now have a ride.

On vacation in Florida, I found a whack of planes of different sizes and genres at Hobby Town USA.
These planes are made by New-Ray Toys Co Ltd www.new-ray.com
I picked up a Spad S.VII for $6.99.
No scale listed but it looks pretty close.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...
