How... how does it eat!?  :o

Good to see a painted one mate. Hey I'll repost your pictures and a link to here on my blog on Dakka Dakka, though perhaps all that'll generate is more "guests" viewing your dollies, but hey, one or two might sign up, never know.

 :o

That centaur is really ugly. Having shot many of them at great distance using VATS I had no idea that they had hands for feet! It's a good model of the in-game beastly Messy, it's just an ugly beasty! Nice work painting veins on the figure too, and don't worry about the back the gap isn't noticeable. :)

Cheers
Matt

I'll be honest, I was expecting more noise here. :P I'm pretty pleased with this guy.
It's, well, "lovely" isn't really the word. But you know what I mean.

How... how does it eat!?  :o
Uses the tentacles like straws?

It's been a fun slog, casting them up..
I'm mostly mounting mine on 50mm bases due to the leg span. (Except for little Cerberus below)

I'm claiming most of the miscasts for my own experiments this time! ;)
I have about 3 cast up and ready to go for now (give or take some possible resculpting where bubbles have bitten off noses..)
Going rate £5 each :P
I'm going to work on the extra torsos and get them cast up soon, so for now the kit is as you've seen above.
I'd say "if you want extra tentacles, ask nicely" but I think you can all roll putty into a long point. x3

If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

PM'ed  :D
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I could spam you up to another culturally relevant number? 616 perhaps? Each one more inane than the last...

Are those Failed Experiment parts on that front Centipede (bottom left) or one of the torsos from your Super Duper Mootants?

Anyway, so are you going to be still making the original pose available, or will you just be making Dragons from the new mold? Would it be difficult to make a head that has an open jaw?

Working on an open jaw, intend on making both sets of arms available. Same for the heads. c:
Just means you'll have to clearly state which sets you want!

The big guy? I used a spare/ damaged super-duper mutant for that one and used the arms, too. c:
The failure is still being worked on, though currently he;s very set in his pose and not gonna be too fun to mess about with!

I decided that since I'm re-addressing some parts on the dragon, I could attempt to make it a bit more..
Pose-able.

So I whipped out my dremel and copper wire..

And made a little cast of the 4 I'd made.

Guess we'll see how it goes.

I take it that that dremel would've made things so much easier when you initially sculpted those claws? The way you've set up the new posing seems pretty nifty (though I'm guessing that the armature isn't stable enough to be used for anything bar casting). A hand which has the claws set so they aren't all fanned out would be nice, nut could be a bit of a miscast magnet. Um, time for painting time again kids!

...Youknow my current course has something like three photoshop modules in it. Screw that though, if you can't get my point with Paint then adding fancy effects might not prove it any better (ooh, though I could turn it into a techno .gif).

The initial claws were fairly easy, I just had loads of ideas on how to do it and no idea how to cast them to prevent miscasts.
Seriously, if I took photos of the first claws in the mold you'd all laugh at me. Not one vent.

It's like I thought the resin might just be heavy enough to slip past all of that air. :P
Second claw mold worked fine, but it was the last of the molds for that model and I had learned a lot and slapped myself a lot.
No, with these claws I want this kind of layout (forgive me, I live with the "Child at Heart" perk ;) )
Each finger is loose and glued into a ball-socket joint.
You'll rage at how fiddly it'll be, I promise! (use tweezers, dead easy, and this resin LOVES super glue)

I love that you made FO1 head stalks for your Centaur. Is there any chance you might do Floaters in the future?
