It's a strong consideration.
Might even make a large toilet to go with them.
If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

Oh you...

Though, ah, I actually have a fair few toilets handy, so you're just giving me ideas about having mutated creatures bursting out of one of them. I seem to recall Marc mentioning making a radioactive flatworm out of spare bits and pieces though...

Yea, I was working on a very small one. I ended up going "Gargh" and breaking it. x3

:D One never stops learning a language.

I was referring more to this and this. I think the other kind I can manage on my own.  ;)

Hmn, I may have a go at one of those myself Gargobot. To me they just look like a knot of flesh with drippy bits, so one shouldn't be too hard to sculpt even with bugger all sculpting ability. I shall report back my findings a week from now at dawn! ^^

 lol

It's alright, I knew what you were referring to.
Started off with a loop of wire with a long tail hanging off and you've pretty much got the shape sorted..

Well they were called "Sphincter Monsters" during development, as well guess where the idea for their head came from. I'll include a toilet on the base of mine once its finished (youknow, not like I have like twenty toilets sitting unused or anything...). ;)

Prime MkII
Victory Prime.

Rebuilt by a conglomerate of BoS groups around the Texas region.

I got a crapton of Robogear models off of ebay with the thought "Hell, some of it looks Enclave-y"

So I made an adapted Enclave vertibird out of an ugly.. Weird flying thing.
And after a long time staring at bits, I decided to whip out the saw..

It's been one hell of a conversion so far.  :D

Vertibird? Nah that's an escort flyer. The Enclave would have those do a fly along with their troop carriers in order to bolster the Vertibird's small arsenal and attack ground targets when the troops were deployed. They just weren't seen a lot in the early stages of the NCR-Brotherhood/Enclave war because their enemies weren't pulling out the heavy gear, nor did they see much service as the war itself was over so quickly. Now the ones that weren't sabotaged by their owners sit derelict in the airfields of old Enclave bases throughout America, the NCR long given up hope of repairing them (and the BoS having been chased away from the larger caches, heh, though maybe they fixed one or two...).

See, I'm dead great at crapping out fluff. ;)

I've seen others using robogear models for Fallout actually, though I've never came across them myself to judge whether they'd work well. They're a clunky, municipal sci fi style that fits in with the post apocalyptic setting. Bung on a bit more rust than usual on that robot and you could call it a prototype-prototype for Liberty Prime (or well just any other Robot Robco was developing, perhaps Robco created that, but the army demanded something twice as large, so that was mothballed. Hmph, at least the power worked on that thing).

Ah and my club has that same terrain, but at least you've built it in a logical manner. The set we have is just a jumble of oddly angled platforms and walls covered in coral of all thing. Yup, and people wonder why I'm building my own terrain...Seeing it like you've built it though does make me think of the industrial areas about The Pitt though, so perhaps that would look good rusted up and with the odd bit of Raider graffiti (ie just splurges of paint) about it?

That's why I added the "adapted vertibird" bit ;)
Like that though, so far I'd just filled out the bases stock sheet with "Strike craft"

And no, Paladin/Victory Prime will be a scrapped up re-do based on Liberty.
In my Texan campaign I've taken some liberties (heh) and they've managed to take over a "working" manufacturing facility. Some bits had to be repaired, blah blah. Basically they're able to make their own gear there. They've been throwing Prime V2 together out of cameras and sensor modules.
And tons of scrap metal, broken down robots and the like.
Can't decide what to arm him with right now, though. I have fitted one gun, it's like a Gauss Gatling cannon of massive proportions.. Eye lasers and nuke footballs not plausible, however!

Yes, they do look fittingly Pitt-y I've certainly got enough bits here to add a lot of variety.
I also hope to get card backing on the platformer set (the one where you stick two panels together to connect it all up) and make simple casts of them to make walls for a vault.

Working out ways of converting the awful robogear troopers into super mutants. Just about the right height, and my arms and heads fit them alright.

Remember that Texas in the Fallout world is a kind of lawless wasteland. The Desert Rangers were active there for a time, but they were forced out by the Legion. Before that the whole Commonwealth was cut off from the rest of the US for most of the year by dust storms, so the place had become kind of free from the politics of the rest of the wasteland, again until the Legion turned up. Personally I kind of subscribe to the view that there's barely any Brotherhood forces left out there by the time of New Vegas other than at Hidden Valley, but I suppose there's still small outposts hunkering down. Or you're particular chapter could be set in a time, or during the Legion's annexing of the area, I mean the Legion did fight against at least two Brotherhood chapters by the New Vegas (Maxson's Bunker/Midwestern BoS), so your's could've always had a scuffle.

*Oh, and that's all me completely disregarding Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel in terms of canon. That whole game's set in Texas, but yeah, nobody cares about you FoBoS.

Check out the concept art for Fallout 3. There's pages of images of Liberty Prime with arm weapons before they scrapped that and went for the American Football idea. One of the concepts had one arm carrying a shield, so that's always an option, though I'd personally just give it a single gun and have the other arm bear or with a targeting system or something mount on the wrist. I'd say that your robot could've been a prototype of Liberty Prime, rather than suggesting that its the same robot, as the visual style's a bit different (plus it looks smaller). So you could get away with having a kind of more jangly Liberty Prime or just say that its one of America's other attempts at a war robot (they did have loads, just not in the form or size of Liberty Prime, hell the one in Van Buren was massive).

Eugh, don't give me ideas for more terrain. Just looking at those sets makes me want to do so many dirty things to them. Ah, for instance you could use cotton buds with stoppers on either end to resemble those bar barricade thingies that the Pitt had everywhere, that and just throw out chicken wire fencing and covering to every other surface too. Hmn, though would you be making some Trogs to go along with that terrain I wonder? ;)

Youknow I find Vaults to be becoming a bit cliche with Fallout blogs lately. I mean I'm not knocking them, nor am I putting my own aspirations for them to bed, but they seem to be the big goal for people collecting models based on the games. I guess its just because their so iconic and that when you bring in people to play with your models they make the theme obvious, but I'm hesitant to wonder if other locals from the games are kind of being pushed to the side. I mean I haven't seen someone making a military bunker, subway tunnels, sewer system, industrial factories, inner city areas (I mean with the Fallout architecture, not just generic ruins), lately, though that's probably just me being ignorant. Vault's have a style that's a bit difficult to achieve unless, well unless you're doing what DELTADOG's doing and sculpting up the things yourself, but then again I suppose there's many different interactions of Vault in the series, and well a bunker's a bunker. Hmph, sorry am I ranting a little? Uh, what I'm saying is; ah crap, what am I saying? Oh right, those robogear bits would look nice as a US Army Bunker (like Hidden Valley or one of Fallout 3's Military bases) if you threw in the odd flat steel plate and maybe a corrugated panel. ...That'd also be an excuse to make sentry turrets and sentrybots. ^^

These ones?

I guess the armour style's kind of all right. I mean it looks like either looted pre-war suits, or you could just paint it up to look like leather or something.Just stick on some of your own heads (or sculpt up maybe add the odd headscarf/welder's mask) and maybe sculpt on bits like ponchos, bits of extra cloth and pouches, and they should turn out decent enough.
