After seeing Grimm's excellent, excellent Chinese Warlord set up closeup and personal @Glam I have sort of made a strategic decision for myself to, if at all possible, primarily use diecast vehicles in the future. The reasons are several:
1) diecasts are heavy
2) they are robust
3) most often cheaper
4) comes in a gazillion choices
Drawbacks may be:
1) they often roll unless you lock the wheel axle somehow
2) they are a bit difficult to strip
3) aluminum is a bit tricky to prime, paint and weather
4) scales are often a bit off
So, said and done, I have ordered the following just recently:
From China, a 1931 A Ford sedan for my Sven Hedin expedition:

For my RCW Boshies, a AMO F-15:

This last item was a bit of a find @ $5 plus P&P from the US. I was quite shocked to see the collectors market for old Soviet made diecasts. Asking prices for these items easily reach $60-$100 or above.
