I have been looking forward to this one for some time. Originally the kickstarter was going to happen this summer, but hey it is here now and already funded!

The cardstock is 1.7mm, but that doesn't say how sturdy it will be. You can have the same card stock thickness but different cardboard, one more flexible than the other.

Indeed, I would hope so as well.

However, when you view the "How it Works" video, it appears that stacking the pieces and building multi-levels is one of the main features of the system.

I also like the way you can store it (a big problem for me) so easily.

Ah yes, and I really like the way they make their walls with the canted sides.

I'll be giving this one some thought... but it looks very smart and an easy way to get some great sci-fi scenery for all kinds of games.

Same here. I knew their previous terrain, but you had to glue everything up. That's not the case here, so I backed it right away, .

No. That was WorldWorksGames in collaboration with Wyrd.

But the idea looks very similar to Terraclips...which was pretty decent stuff (not great, but decent).  It's a bit of a pain to assemble and re-assemble, but if you make small sections which remain modular it's all quite good.  I may have to break my no-spending policy and pledge on for this stuff, as I'd love to do some nice sci-fi gaming in a setup like that...grrrr...

Yikes!  

Don't know if these guys have thought this out real well... they will break there next stretch goal tomorrow.

Perhaps a case where they should be thinking in terms of much larger amounts of money.

Anyway... hope they have some surprises coming. I'm waiting for the med lab stuff to come out.

Edit: Reading through the updates it appears that there will now be three different screens for the V consoles.

Better to see them taking the cautious approach and be pleasently surprised than having dreams of grandeur and being sorely disappointed... I loathe seeing kickstarters with cool ideas fail

I'd choose that pre-printed cardboard stuff over laser-cut wood any day.

I've just stumbled onto this kickstarter and am very intrigued...I've been about to start up a rogue trader 40k project...but don't want to go the route of open battlefield type battles...I prefer the idea of boarding parties and the like...so this looks perfect....temptation!  I may have to clear some more lead out in the next 29 days to make this possible...

Glad im not the only one!  I would love for it to look a little more beat up for RT play but you cant have everything!  I also wish they would show a build in a slightly more liner style....while i like the large rooms I would envision my "missions" being more about penetrating into a ship to take out the bridge or engine room...rescue captives etc.

anyway...I think I will make this happen at the stronghold level...even with the rather stiff international shipping it will still be much cheaper and faster than any table construction I will do in the near future!
