I'm tempted to pledge for the docking bay alone, and the use of warpath miniatures isn't helping me resist.....

Well... a really interesting KS and quite entertaining, almost emotional ending.

Glad I participated and am looking forward to getting my hands on the terrain.

In for a quid so will decide later.  Saw the alien hive wall sections will be nice when done if done correctly.  ;)

I did the same. The bunker walls and infected walls are very tempting. I watched the videos on a big screen (I.e. not my phone) for the first time and it looks even more convincing. I'm not normally a card terrain fan, though some people (the Commander included) have done impressive stuff with it.

It looks like the Battle Systems guys have run a good kickstarter so well done to them.

I wonder how many others opted for the £1 now, and decide at leisure option....
Even though it was over funded, i wonder what the actual total will be from full pledges + options later when the questionaire goes out?

My decision wasn't so much so I can decide later but more related to not having any money at the moment! That being said, I still can't decide!

I have to say that the bunker add on was a bit steep.  If it had been 20£ and less wall
Space I would have gone for it.  I reserve the right to change my mind and pick it up later...;)

Agreed the 40 beans is a lot for the bunker set. It will, however, cover the full perimeter of the 3x3 floor though, so it is a lot of card.

As a note, as the time was counting down and the last of the stretch goals fell, the folks of BS were chatting about costs and it seemed pretty apparent that they were not going to make any money from this KS. They plan to use this as a launching pad to producing card terrain.

Yep, pricy, but it will get them all the tools they need to produce the kits for retail and hopefully make some money in the future.

This is the kinda thing I believe KS was designed to do, get folks started, not serve as a pre-order special or generate profit by selling shitty plastic.

Overall, I'm quite happy, both for myself and for them.

This. I had a good feeling about this company so I backed their product.

Cheers,

My foremost reason to go for Stronghold is, that I'll be able to use it as a gaming board on it's own, and it's not really that expensive, given the time, efffort, and materials it would take to make a multi-leveled setup of this kind.

The second reason is that this stuff is so versatile, that I can probably add this and that future small expansion set when I feel like it/need it for a specific scenario.

Let's hope this succeeds the big way, and that we'll see the available collection grow over the coming years!

HAPPY FEZEMBER!
