Hi ever one, I was wondering if any one has tryed the rules out and what they think about them?

haven't tried them yet. In fact I was going to pick the book up at the Baltimore Games Day along with the Great War book. I really enjoy WAB and use those rules or variants thereof for 99% of my gaming. Now while GW might have its critics, I rather like them if for nothing other than playability......their rules play fairly simple and are easy to modify for almost any period or setting
The local GW staff here in Atlanta are all working on ships for the game and are all excited about it.So I will let you know as soon as I get it

A great set of rules, a stand alone set with everything you need, no supplements for this baby unless they expand into earlier/later periods etc.

They are based on the Legends of the Old West/Lord of the Rings rules.

Lots of scope for the game with building your crews, equiping your ship and setting sail to pursue a life on the ocean waves. The ship to ship rules are nice and easy, just about right for an evenings game or two. The character lists and scenarios are where I really like the game, lots of potential to game not only pure pirates but lots of other swash buckling, in my devious plans I am looking at the rules for use with smugglers and highwaymen. :D

I think Terry Maltman asisted Tim Kulinski in the ship rules. Worht a look are his Warhammer ahoy rules for WFB which may have some gems you could adapt for sky ships etc
