I am working on them now, so I hope to have a piccy of the progress later.

They are so cheap, it would be rude to say 'No!'....(erm....maybe that should be rephrased....).

Anyways, here is the link to the EU shop for those of you on this side of the pond who don't want to pay ruddy Customs fees for stuff from the US... ;)

The gaming is a bit of a bonus, as we have slackened off on that front recently.
It should pick up now as it is easy to put an Old West posse together so there are no excuses really if I am providing the scenery, is there, chaps??

Loving those wagons.  Will be keen to see how they come out as I bought half a dozen of them a couple of years ago and they've sat in my "do something with these" pile ever since.

I agree, mate.
There is something about those MDF versions that does not sit quite right with me.

Well, hopefully you will approve of what has been done....... ;)

Here are the wagons, having been 'pimped' some more.

They have all had new 'front ends' attached, with different seating arrangements put in place.
If they had been left as they were, the drivers would have been sitting there with their feet hanging just underneath the rear end of the horse/mule/oxen whatever pulling the damn thing!
 :o

More 'stuff' has been piled in the back of the open wagon, along with a very basic undercarriage/yoke arrangement....

...and the others have been given a quick undercoat to see if they will look ok with paint....

....which I think they will.

They look a little 'bodged' and rough in the pictures but they should be fine once finished.

Now to finish off that stagecoach....

Cool piccys Paul, they don't look half bad  :-*

I'm keen to see how they turn out. Those crates and detritus are a particular fine addition.

I'm guessing they size up well with your figures too :?

Cheers, mate.
Just some green stuff, a few off cuts of balsa and a couple of bits of luggage from Slug Industries is all, but I do think it helps with the transformation.
 :D

I will do some size comparison piccies when they are done.
Until then, here is a link to the thread by Brian Smaller where I discovered the blighters in the first place...he has posted a couple of pics including a comparison with a Blue Moon wagon and Knuckleduster drivers.

Oh, and the stagecoach is ready for paint now, so piccies of that later, including the figure comparison that I should have done last time..... ::)

The Stage Coach.

Here it is with all the green stuff finished...

Quite a lot more GS than on the wagons as I wanted to add some extra panels to it to more closely resemble historical examples.
The panels themselves are made from cereal packet card with greenstuff detailing.

I still need to add the driver's seat and harnesses etc, but other than that, it is ready for undercoating.

Here it is with Brian's Mum for figure compatibility purposes....

I think it will look just fine once the horses and gear are all there....not bad for a cheap pencil sharpener, I reckon.
 ;)

Looking good. I remain unconvinced with the mdf wagons but might pick up the stagecoach as it's not too pricey.

I am not enamoured with the stagecoach, to be honest, it looks a little 'flat' to me.
I am hoping that these will work as a suitable cheap alternative to other metal wagons.
It is worth a little extra effort to have something original.

I will post some pics when I do manage to colour them in a bit...

Looks pretty good Mason, especially for the price. Once you weather it I'm sure it will be a stunner.

I'm not sure what I prefer so far for stage coaches, (or if I even want one) the latest laser cut one looked pretty good, if a bit flat. But not sure it looks that much worse than the old glory 40mm diorama stage coach seen painted elsewhere in the forum. I guess it's great us talented bunch can make anything look good ;P
