Marshal Bertrand and his 'Constables'....The Town of Upsheet Creek UD:20/02
« Reply #2100 on: 20 February 2015, 05:14:23 PM »
I've run out of space for a gallows. I'm also too tight to buy one!

I have run out of space to put everything on the table at once, but that is a good thing.
It just means that every time you set up it will be different.
 ;)

No excuses, mate.
Get yerself a gallows!
 ;D

But the gallows are only for official hangings. Any self respecting lynchmob needs a hanging tree.

Dont you start as well!
 ;D ;D ;D

There will be a hanging tree WHEN I get around to doing the Lynch Mob, though.
 :D

Anyways, I have start making noisy things that go on the Church.
Just waiting for the first stage to cure.

In the meantime I have based up the Lawmen that Jeff painted for me.

Introducing Marshall 'Constable' Bertrand.
Hailing from Down Under, he has earned his nickname by insisting on calling his Deputies 'Constables' after serving in the Australian Police Force for some years.

Here he is with his regular Posse of 'Constables'....

Lovely painting by Jeff.
Crap photography by myself...

What an outstanding photo Paul. :-* the basing on those and Jeff's painting is fantastic. 8) 8) Glad they are wearing their buff dusters as the goodies.

I couldn't imagine a better law and order team than those fine men! Well proportioned and nobel figures.

Cheers
Constable Bertrand and his hard working deputies.

Thanks Mason! Better than having an outside toilet called after me :D lol

I thought that in Oz, our police were known as Troopers (Waltzing Matilda ref) rather than Constables? Perhaps Constables in a largeish town.

It does vary slightly from state to state but Constable is the norm for a non-commissioned officer.
Troopers may be a general name but the actual rank names follow the traditional UK pattern as a rule.

Not arguing, mate.
Not at all.

Glad that are happy with your alter-ego's new home.
 :D

I am still working n the little additions to the church and hope to finish the tree later.
I have also picked up some new members of the Apache tribe, again beautifully worked on by the brush of Bugsda.
Piccies of them soon.

I heard he fought the law, but the law won.

Well, the bell problem is mostly sorted and the tree almost done.

In the meantime, you may remember those lovely Apache that were painted for me by Bugsda for BLAM.....

Well, he did such a lovely job on them that I asked him to paint a few more.
He handed them over to me last week and I took piccies over the weekend.

Here they are...

...and a couple of them on ponies...

Here is a group shot of GeroniMac's band of warriors so far...

I say so far as I picked up the DMH box at Cavalier yesterday and shall pass them on to Bugsda too, as he is doing such a fine job with them.
