The Banditos look MAGNIFICO...AND they don't have to show you no stinking badges. VERY WELL DONE as always!

 lol
Cheers, Al.
 :D

Don Pablo Diaz and his Band?

Pah! Not one trumpet? No sign of a guitar? Some band. Old Murray Hatchy will be spinning in his grave.

Nice harmonious painting though  ;)

 lol
I was waiting for something like that.... ::)
Although I suppose I did ask for it.
 ;)

Chickoutta red shirt and fancy hat! :D :D :D ... :D

She and the rest of the family look good - nice work Pablo.

Aha!
Someone got it.... :D

The Don himself seems to have got away with it though.
 ;)

Ay caramba! Splendido banditos muchachos.
You're going to need a bigger town  :)
Or, as suggested before, a monster table with Upsheet Creek one side of the Rio Grande and Malamute's marvellous San Antonio on the other.
Now that would be a Salute-worthy display / participation game.

Maybe next year  ;)

Its a tempting prospect!  ;D

A possibility.... ;D

Yes do it. But bring it to Tactica or somewhere else closer to me.

In fact, just send us your address, we can have it all shipped to your door!
 :D ;) ;D

Great looking Mexican gang Paul  8)

I guess it's actually formed by Don Pablo and his family plus all the extended family of cousins, uncles and whatnots who work for Don Pablo's estates :)

So cool, can't wait to see the hacienda!!!  ;D

Not at all, mate.
I am surprised that no-one has caught onto the name of the Don....especially you and Mama.

An 'intervention' from Bibbles is the last thing that anyone would ever need.
Trust me.
 :o :o :o
 ;)

I just thought that I should mention this as I am sitting here at work, bored out of my mind on a night shift, and was looking for something on the thread to help with the conversions that I am doing on some Apaches at the moment.

I ended up reading all the posts from everyone around the time of the last few manic days before BLAM last year and it brought all the memories I have of that time: the mad rush to get it all completed and the inspiration that all the responses provided to help me get there.
They were really helpful and I now know that I did not thank you all for that....

Thanks to all that helped me get across that finish line.
I really, honestly, don't think I could have done it without you.
if you had ignored me I don't think I would have done it.

So: THANK YOU VERY MUCH, ONE AND ALL!
 :D

The only down side to this is now I want to do it all again.....

I was considering bringing this to BLAM again this year, but with some new things added and a new scenario, but am torn between doing this or doing something completely different.

What do I do...???

That is the wonderfulness at the heart of LAF.

I can't help you on the question of what to do though  ::)

Another outing for the town of Upsheet Creek would be good. Equally, another huge new Mason project would be good. All I can say is that if you've got that creative itch, you need to scratch it  ;)

That's one difficult decision there… like good ol' captain wrote, another new project by you would be a great thing to see and follow here on LAF (no chance to see it in person in BLAM makes me one sad puppy).

So to help you decide, you can send me all your OW items (minis and terrain), I promise to cherish and value them and you have more free space to start a new project… deal?  ;D

Well we still need to see the actual creek. An you have to have a paddle shop. And where are the Indians supposed to live? A few tipis might be needed.

Pablo, stick with the creek this year. You've done so much, and finishing it would be awesome. Also didn't you want to use a polished ruleset?

Cheers
Matt.

Having given your replies some consideration I reckon I have the answer: Carry on with the Creek as planned (especially the Creek itself...), as there are a number of things that I still want to add, scenery wise.

The Creek itself
The Mexican Hacienda
A few buildings 'under construction'
A Saloon
The Celestial Quarter

Figures-wise, I am almost there.
I should get some more Apache to add to the tribe and a Pinkerton Posse pretty soon and finish off the Carnevale troop.
I wont have much more room in the cabinet after that little lot, so that may do unless I find something that I 'have' to add.

Meanwhile, I have a couple of small things I want to do project-wise (40K bands and a Melnibonean Army for WFB 3rd), but there is no rush for those.

Whilst all that is going on I shall see where I can go with the idea that I have floating around and see if I can get it ready in time for BLAM this year.
I have figured out that I already have most of the set-dressing that I will need for that, so I can just build the fun stuff and see how I get on.
If not, then the Creek will be there as a back-up should it not pan out in time.

Sorted.

No one will complain if the Creek makes a return appearance, it was great fun. I'm happy to help out too, especially if you want to play something else. You have more dedication to specific projects than I do, I've got my Old West project,  my modern project and bits and pieces from half a dozen others on the go. It's admirable!
