Cheers, mate.
Florida certainly does have it's attractions, I must say.

I have started work on the 'terrace'.
All the basic work is done and it is coming along nicely.

I just need to slap some paint on the base and then weather the buildings some  (apart from the 'newer' one....), then I can smother it in scenic 'crap' and it will be done.

Apart from the signs, that is.
That will be the fun bit.... :D

Progress piccies later or tomorrow....

All will be revealed over the course of the weekend, Giles.
The buildings should be done today and the unveiling of the signs will take place soon after...(and it is UPSHEET Creek, sir  ;)).

The WIP piccies of the terrace:

The three buildings have had the original sidewalk removed and a minor paint job before proper weathering and detailing can begin......

The baseboard awaits the buildings and detailing.....

The buildings on the baseboard.....

....and from the rear.....

Still not sure what to do with those flat roofs.
They look a little plain and boring to me....any suggestions?

Details and weathering shall commence this afternoon....

Mason, maybe tarpaper and batons for the flat roofs? I'm no scratchbuilder but shouldn't be too hard to do, especially after your other builds

For the flat roof - a wee bit of an assignation spot can be indicated by a bit of paper towel soaked in glue and painted to look like a well used blanket.  Also, a few bits of wood lying about, perhaps there was a leak during the last rain and the repairs aren't entirely complete.  That combination can "liven" up the roof.  Of course, if you add a lass whose over slept now that her beau is off to his daily duties, well, that can really "spice" it up.
