You are beginning to scare me, Bertie.
That sounds a little like the attitude of an internet stalker.

Speaking of tracks......

Add to that the Train and track (which looks damn awful in unpainted black plastic....),

Here they are....a simple and quick fix of a brown drybrush, followed by two of grey and a small silver one on the rails.
Finished off by a wash of AP Soft Tone wash on the tracks to tone them down.

Once the paint had dried it was a simple matter of sticking a couple of bits of black card on the underside of the tracks in random places......

.....then it was a simple matter of applying some scenic grass, sand and tufts to indicate a little growth.

The finished result.....

Simple, quick and straightforward.
They work for me and will be left like that until I do the Railroad Station.

The Iron Horse trail looks great Paul  8)

Will you include a water tower with the station perhaps?

There is already a Water Tower, mate, although it was finished off some time ago and so you are forgiven for forgetting.

That is ok, mate.

The station house will be based around this ebay acquisition, along with a platform and waiting room and covered area etc.

That is the Stationmaster too, by the way.

Oh, and there will be a Choo-choo too, before anyone starts that lark again....

Really clever solution for making the track look more 'in place' and yet fully modular :)

Indeed. I've been holding off doing many feet of HO scale track for my Eastern Front WWII project and this might just be the wise example I've needed.

As I said before: Simple is often best.
Often, but not always.

Glad to be of help, Thomas.
