Ooh I like the construction materials lying around. Looks like one of those chaps that hasn't quite counted the cost before building, and has suddenly realises he needs extra planks, fibro, and stairs!

The lack of stairs with a mostly finished top floor is disturbing me now I've noticed it. Go the cheap option and make a ladder to stick in there?

Cheers, Matt.
 :)

There will be a lot more building materials in evidence before I finish.
There is a variety of stuff put aside for this in a little bag, it just needs painting before being added.

Including a ladder.

Oh I knew I shouldn't have fretted, that the Master Builder would have had everything in hand. Though you may be breaking some building codes not having suitable safe access at this stage. I at least hope its fenced off with suitable warnings.

The constables may have to inspect the site.  ;)

Cheers
Matt

Looking good.
Quick basic question, what material are you using for the base of the building ?
Is that wood ?

The Cathouse ....The Town of Upsheet Creek UD:10/04

Have you built a Cat house for upcreek?....Saloon girls n stuff?

I have indeed, but not for the Creek.....no saloon girls either.
Just a big old bouncer on the door.
 :D

Alongside other things I have been busy making a Cathouse.
This time it is not for the Creek, but for The Doink, my guard cat.

It is a fair bit bigger than the other buildings that I have been working on!

It has just been chucked out into the garden so the fussy sod can get acclimatised.
Here is the big fella after inspection....

So, Terry: There is the Cathouse that you have been after.
Satisfied?
 :D

And for those of you who expected something totally different.....made ya look, didnt it?

I hope you're going to put Wild West signs on it, like you have with all your other buildings...  ;)

I am going to make a sign for it actually, but not a Wild West one.

No choice, mate.
He 'adopted' us last year and has moved in.
I spoke to his previous owners to let her know that he has done so and she thinks it is best for him, as she has three small young children and he does not really like it there any more.
She is fine with him 'living' with us.

The old sod is too used to being out at night.
I have tried to keep him in at night but he goes barmy to be let out after a while, so he goes out when we go to bed.
I wanted him to have somewhere to hole up if the weather is bad.

Not sure if he will use it yet, although he does eat his food in there if I put it in the house.
He does seem to like sunbathing on the roof, though.
 ::)

And that his name is The Doink.

He does not mind what I call him, but outsiders must call him by his formal name: Mr D.

And, just for tradition's sake, with Brian's Mum for scale....

 ;)

And getting back to the Creek: Work progresses on the 'Building Under Construction'.
The second floor is done, cladding added ready for sanding and paint and just the roof to construct.
I hope to have update piccies later....
