Cavorite is a dangerous substance that could upset the balance of power in Europe. It must be stopped at all costs!

The Return of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Prologue

The telegrams went out with a simple message 'You must come, he's not dead.'

'It seems we all got the same telegram' said Captain Nemo to his other three companions. They had assembled in the LXG headquarters. Agent Sawyer held his up as he strolled around the room looking at the strange exhibits and the paintings of previous teams. Skinner tossed his on the table as he carried on drinking his wine while Dr Jekyll just nodded.
'Does anyone know if Mina received it as well?' Asked Jekyll.
'I have heard she is on a mission of her own in Eastern Europe' replied Nemo.
Suddenly the door burst open, stood there was what was possible once a man. Hideously scarred he was dressed in an old, long, black leather coat. Sawyer span drawing his two pistols and pointing them at the intruder.
'I wouldn't shoot if I was you' came a familiar voice 'You might make him angry.'
Sawyer's arms dropped to his side, a look of total shock on his face as Alan Quartermain followed the scarred man in.
'Well at least this explains the telegram' said Nemo.
'Im afraid I'm not the reason for that' Quartermain replied 'it seems our last piece of business wasn't as successful as we thought.'

To be continued...
