I do worry for the poor Swede, Scurv.

I fear the combination of Herring and Snus has destroyed some of those little grey cells.
He really should take his medication before appearing in public.... :D

Don't mention snus to the aussies, or I'll have to run down to the post office for yet another shipping lol
Got 5 aussies on my "provider" list. I might soon have to change my title to Snus baron or something...

And Scurv, the whole Danish Swedish discussion is bit more historically inflamed compared with Aussies and Kiwis. We have had a coupe of wars after all. Our only issue now is when the southern Danes try to speak danish with Swedes, and vice versa...

Mason, I'm hurt about your remark. Sick? I'd call it creative and unhinged! At the moment though, I'm ill with kid flu :(

Not sure about raising the bar lol
However I'm looking forward to what my esteemed colleague and I come up with. Being of an certain age our idea of LOTR is more informed by John Blanche et al than Peter Jackson ( though strangely I'm using one or two of the figures in the range). As you are all aware by now I like gritty and moody so expect more of the same.
And from Paul, his fantastic painting combined with his own unique conception, and for the pair of us that sits squarely in the Dark Ages, the time of Beowulf and the stories they convey.
  Anyway...

Cheers

Guy

I should not laugh but I am. British australians, I dont think you could of insulted a kiwi more. New Zealand's worst nightmare is to become another state of australia.

Most of my kiwi mates have Dutch ancestors...

Ya daft bugger.

Anyway, enough of this silly talk, Mr Wolf has something to post later and need to go back and green stuff some more cloaks on the Forces of Gondor.

Yes!
That is certainly the way to get this ball rolling!

That Rohir is spot on, a great choice.
AND I agree with the Dunedain.
Great bit of brush waving too, mate, and of course the pictures are top drawer.
 :-* :-*

I have to agree with you that the Rangers are excellent figures.
I may not agree with PJ and GW about everything, but that is one thing that I feel they did get right.

I shall be using a couple of GW figures myself, some of them old classic Citadel sculpts.....and some that are even older.
 ;)

Good stuff. My own LotR project consists of mid 80's Citadel figs and some of the new GW boxes I've picked up cheap which I plan to fill out with non GW Fantasy figs and Historicals from various sources. I like the Dark Ages look but using some of the GW figures gives me a bit more leeway. I was thinking of using 15mm with purely DA types but the amount of 28mm I already had and Hobbycraft selling some more GW packs cheap changed my mind.

Both minis are BEAUTIFULLY painted & based...LOVELY background also. My only critique is the Rohan Fellow's lack of stirrups. Other than that VERY WELL DONE!
