Good source for 28mm SF weapons?
« on: January 08, 2014, 12:15:01 AM »
Hey there, I'm looking for some separate Sci-Fi/Near Future/Ultramodern weapons in roughly 28mm scale to tart up some of these:

As well as Super System duty, these may need to stand in for some Tau Battlesuits, so I'm hunting for Heavy Machine Guns/Mini-Guns, Flamethrowers, Missile Pods and two kinds of SF weapons to be Plasma Guns and Fusion Guns.

I tried a test-fit with actual Tau weapons, and they just don't look right, far to big.

Hasslefree!

They have some futuristic stuff that'd work a treat.
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Be sure to check out maxmini.
Lots of cool weapons, both modern and futuristic.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Thanks for the advice guys, I wasn't going to have them holding weapons, but after a look at Maxmini, I may just change my mind.

If you want to attach weapons, try the WH40K Tau Crisis Suits. They have all kinds of scifi underslung arm and shoulder mounted weapons. Find a good bitz seller and get just the ones you need...

+++EDIT+++ Serves me right for not reading your whole post...  ::)  But why not try some of the squad support weapons instead? Those might be the right size. Also, Space Marine and Imperial Guard weapons as well. I could totally see a Terminator's Assault Cannon on your 'bot.

Paulson Games, the same guy who does Mecha Front, has a line of suitable guns.

Better act fast though as the like looks to be going away on the 25th.
