New Perry WW2 Releases

On the new releases, I think these are directly competitive with Warlord - and frankly, much nicer. Perry have, for me, perfect sculpting and releases. Once they move a little bit later, to NW Europe, I don't know why anyone would buy Warlord. It's just not fair to compare the quality!

Of course, I no longer have a pony in the race; having sold all my 28mm (well, I have a Perry Italian army that I have to list yet), I still think Perry are just superior.

Also, the Blitzkrieg tanks are gorgeous, easier to get to the table, and of flawless quality. Perry are really the front runner.

I am pleased, for one, that my incomplete DAK and 8th Army Artizan forces can now get the additional AT guns and vehicles to complete them.  I just bought the DAK bikes off Warlord too.

Bugger!  I have just finished making my Warlord 2 pounder and Pak 36 with Perry plastic crew. 

Very glad to see the MG42.  That is a key addition, and the recce Kubelwagen is ideal for my Chain of Command DAK force. 

On the whole scale argument (discussion?)  I don't see a height difference, but the figures are more slender and anatomically correct.  I much prefer this approach to the more stylised caricatures which have been poplar in the past.  My own experience of the Perry plastics has been very positive.   The chance to really knock up some very different poses has been great.

Well I'm a happy camper with my Perry Plastics DAK as they scale very nicely with 1/56 & 1/60 vehicles. The scale argument will never be settled I suspect. I think I'll just have to stick with Perry's for North Africa, and now there's plenty of variety in this particular scale (have the Perry's created a new sub scale for WW2?)

that's exactly the point....
anyway, I am content that they made some metal ones, since these are closer in relief with other 28mm, the plastic ones are too flat and slender for my taste (and for my other miniatures). Surely they have more natural proportions.
