Oh my god, what a fantastic topic, full of creatures! I got no idea how I managed to miss that, but here is my Servitor of the outer gods.
Mr. Adventurer guy has shed some light on him and he is not happy with what he sees.

Im just cleaning up that "Adventurer" at the moment!

Great Work!

I've got a lot off my lead pile...running down into the 'could be used as mythos' figures. And a few 'what is that? Well, at least it has tentacles' models. Will have a rummage tomorrow at the local gaming shop.

As with a lot of my collection of Miniatures I'm in "Catch Up Mode" (my AD&D Miniatures and Mythos Miniatures being my biggest targets atm) - as I had an electrical fire a while back, and my Mythos/1920's collection were one of the things that came off worst - the ones that survived had to be stripped due to smoke damage, or being covered in melted plastic or melted figure case foam.

I was put off my favourites for some time (which contributed to my tardiness over finally getting into Strange Aeons - a big thanks to my partner, Linda, for giving me the final push there) but now I'm back "into" them, and more passionate than ever!

Very soon it will be "Mi-Go" in the painting circle again . . . . . .

I really wish that I could have entered something into this before it ends but that looks unlikely.
Damn these eyes of mine.

Well, the thread has slowed down quite a bit, and there are still 12 slots left, so you never know.

Yep, thats what I've been thinking.  It was perhaps a mistake to restrict this niche subject more by only having monsters.  if it were any of the previous groups it would have filled in 3-4 weeks. I think we're creeping on 6 or 7 now?  I suspect the interest level in these types of esoteric subjects only goes so far after the initial burst.  I like the stories and played the games, but I find it hard to motivate myself to paint much in the genre.  Although to be fair, people have turned out some smashing stuff!

Well, I think quite many regular mythos painters

1) have already posted something and/or
2) are participating in LPL, which can easily take all your hobby time and more. Considering this, direct comparison to earlier clubs isn't very fair.

I did both, and counted about ten regulars in the LPL list. Besides, I'm giving all those "only noticed this after six weeks / just got mine undercoated after six weeks" people a fair chance instead of hogging another slot for myself. But I'm going to do it if you don't hurry up. ;D

Allowing investigators too would have made this just Pulp II so let's behold the unspeakable things this time. It's almost over already.

I'm not trying to hurt your feeling mate, but the proof is in the pudding.  There may be a good number of Mythos painters but the Wild West and PA finished VERY fast in comparison, like about half the time almost. Just to add context, the Western one was done over the holidays.  There MUST be some reason for this well beyond the handful of people who take part in the LPL.  :D

If I'd known that this would run another couple of weeks beyond my last entry, I'd have painted at least one more up, but I thought it would end by last weekend.

I really wish that I could have entered something into this before it ends but that looks unlikely.

I suppose it all comes down to time put in. I myself am painting stuff for this as well as the LPL. There is still plenty of time for anyone to get a figure in. The quality in this thread is amazing and I must thank everyone who managed to get a monster done up. Guys that fill the thread with complaints and banter...not so much.

Get painting, there is still time.  ;)

Not complaining, Mike, just wishing/hoping that I could/can participate.... :'(

I shall have to try and get something done before it finishes.
 :D

As for the quality of the entries thus far: Amazing!
