Its that time again everyone, the next blog post is here...
A sneaky peeky...

http://let-the-galaxy-burn-again.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/another-trip-to-mordheim.html

i am also asking for some advice with painting metallic colours. I can do most armour with metallic paints but weapons seem to be an issue for some reason, so does anyone out there have a good tutorial or tips? (I will search here but thought I would ask too)

Chipping away - the differing tones on the beastmen will look good.

And what snow product did you use on the base of the wolf?

Thanks :) I even plan an albino one too haha...

The product is the snow flakes from woodland scenics, I was given a small amount many moons ago and recently started using it.
I mix it with some water effects and a small amount of white paint into a paste, add that to where I want the snow and then sprinkle a small amount of the flakes on. I get good results with it, although you just need to makes sure the white is pure as even a slightly off white shows up very easily...

I could do a small tutorial? Would be an interesting challenge for me haha... :)

Nice work.

I still remember the first time I painted 15mm after having painted 28mm GW pretty much only up to that point, I too couldn't believe how fast it took to paint them.

MAN THE BARRICADES!!!

So I try my hand at some small 'modular'? barricades for Mordheim because I had some spare balsa strips.
As a teaser, here is a picture of the 'raw' materials for this blog piece.

Also, an update on the Empire army, a few random miniatures on the table at the moment AND my random attempt at nature photography (which was a quick decission)

I hope you enjoy
and until next time

Matt get some new blades !
Balsa kills blades, that's why you've got dragging on the lower edge.if you make a light cut on the reverse side before you make the main cut then the dragged edge will be a lot less obvious..
Quality counts don't buy cheap blades and get rid of that craft knife. lol
We've this fostering session to get through then. You can pop over early in July and I'll show you few more short cuts and pit fall remedies.if you still want too.
Mark.

I do indeed :D
I shall bring the 'knives' that I have and discuss which are worth keeping as I have several for different jobs and that one I have had for six years (no blade change  :-X) not that im cheap but cant find those blades these days :P haha.
I shall also bare in mind to do a light cut on the reverse side too as I plan on a lot more balsa construction to get it all used up :)

Good to see you back at it.

The bayonet doesn't look familiar, but then my knowledge on these things is rather limited.
