Link?

Hmm, pass, I can't find it. It may have been one of their passing offers that's no longer available.

Anyhoo, this is it, aluminium and I think the brand name is 'Ordex' and the dimensions 40cm x 24cm x 10cm. They've had the offer on before though, so it's probably one that comes and goes.

A decade ago I used a merry mix of cardboard boxes, paper/plastic wrapping, looted suitcases, handmade foam inserts and one proper Army Transport case (which gradually became less and less useful due to headaches with foams, which had to be imported). Then I went for Feldherr and in hindsight many of the "money-saving" options I used before were actually waste of money and time.

The Feldherr system with half, full and double sized foams in a huge variety of thickness, slot and raster options solves most of my storage and carrying problems. The key is flexibility. I can take pretty much any combination of minis from a Blood Bowl team to every mythos monster I own, safely packed in a case of suitable size. The rest is neatly stored in its own foams. Less headache, less fiddling, less chipping from kludgy solutions.

So, if you're absolutely certain you'll only need a single case, get anything that fits. But if you're ever going to expand to any direction, how about investing a little bit more in a well planned system? A Mini Plus case with foams is about 25e and waterproof enough for our weather. Some other brand may work as well. I wouldn't spend 20e on a random case that will be incompatible with everything else out there. If you can find one for a pittance (or free) then go ahead but if the difference is marginal, get a proper mini case instead. Just my personal recommendation, out of experience.

To get a proper figure case would take me about 2 months saving...that's 2 months of not using what I brought, I'm not made of money lol, I have about £10 spare every fortnight after everything else

Heck, I couldn't even find a product search engine (store search, yes,) on the web site...

Oh well, thanks for trying.  It might have been kind of fun to have one of those...  I doubt anyone else would have had one...

Gracias,

Glenn

Hey guys.

I'm looking around for a nice cheap figure case, a few years back I found some that I can only describe as "dremel cases", they were just plastic blank ones with Eggshell foam in, the wavey foam, and they were nice and cheap, less than £20, I really need a case but cannot risk a card KR one due to British weather.

Any suggestions?

How many miniatures ( and in what size of miniatures) do you want/need the case to hold?

Gracias,

Glenn

I have found my case, not as cheap as I was looking for, but in the long run I'll be able to carry deadzone, ronin, fistful and whatever else I do

One word of warning - nice cases mean nice contents and thieves who wouldn't give a cardboard box a second glance will grab nice cases, especially gun cases. Be vigilant.

What I'm going to do is ask around on hunting and shooting sites in the UK first, maybe airsoft sites, see if someone has a second hand case first, even if I only save £5  lol

can i recommend the mantic white cases? http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/gaming/mantic-white-cases.html
they arent pretty, and they arent fancy, but i use them to store the miniatures i buy from mantic and i havent had them move around or get damaged during transit at all. they also stack up in a back pack or messengerhttp://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/gaming/mantic-white-cases.html bag really easy.
never trust a horse, they make a commitment to shoes that no animal should make.

I have never seen those before- very cheep.  :)

does that price include the foam inlay?

and what is the difference between the two designs- is it just the depth?
