i like your working legionaries.
the barehead gladiator with shield looks great too (simple but great). !
As i always say, simple convertion could be very impressive.

Cheers

Those are great new additions to your Roman era Rui.

Like the work gang as those are quite seldom seen instead of prepared for battle type of legionaries.Maybe make few stands of glades swords and shields for the working legionaries that they can grab if trouble starts :)

An update not so related to the gangs but related to the latest figures painted.
A small roman fort being built.
Subject to complete on the next weeks but here is the start of it.

The idea is if its not yet compleetly built. Also i will do a small encampment for the legionaires who are building the fort.
Ideas and opinions are most welcome.

That looks good.  One point however is that the ditch would be completed before additional stuff such as the ramparts was added.

One more ganger to the collection.
Head is from GW plastic bretonian archers, body from Wargames foundry and green stuff for the cloack.

And after some great although short vacations here is the first update.

3 more converted gangers and a tribune with a cloak.
Tribune is a victrix republican roman with green stuff to convert the leather protection above the breast plate, cloak and a west wind head.
Next comes a wargames factory numidian body with arms from warlord and a head from west wind plus cloack of green stuff.
The third one is a victrix greek peltast body, cloak sculped sword arm from warlord and a new manufacturer head (subject to discuss later and in another thread).
The last one is a victrix roman velites again with 2 arms from warlord and a knife done with metal.

Feedback is welcome.

All looking good Rui  :)

What would be good for the fort would be the setting out poles for the rest of it and lots of tools piled up along with some legionary equipment.

cheers

James

Thanks James and indeed some interesting ideas for the fort.
I will indeed pille some wood poles in several places, do a half built entry plus a small amount of wall and some legionaires equipment but not glued on the fort board for it will suit for several roman periods.
I simply have to put the fort in standby for i have some things to finish first.

Hadn't seen the fort in progress before, looks like a good start, great to see that finished (when you have time for it, that is).

And the new chaps look great, will nicely fit in with the dozens you already have!  :D
