Finally got around to doing up the cultists

Leaders



The first fellow is just the "regular" leader (unfortunately, you can't quite see the opalescent shimmer on the cape shells/scales... well, maybe you can a little?). The tentacle fellas are two versions of the same "secret boss" (a terror using the shapeshifter ability), one cloaked and one in GIBBER JABBER attack mode.

The figures are actually a little brighter than they are in real life (they look close to this in really bright light) even though the white of my background paper looks dull. Still trying to improve my photo-taking, but still have to correct in photoshop to get them to look like the figures do IRL.

Great cultists! I like in particular the leader converted from the GW Lokhir Fellheart mini (the one with the squid helmet).

Although rarely seen in fuchsia, they do have a certain KKK look to them...it's the Cherry Grove KKK...or not. The Cloaked Minions of Evil painted up BEAUTIFULLY, AND the LOVELY bases add to the effect. VERY WELL DONE!

Been working on some terrain things. It's slow and tedious, so today was a reward day where I did something fun instead. Been wanting to try to do a makeover on my cars and trucks, so I did one as a test.



Here's what it looked like before:



Basically, this is a quick hybrid job that lets me retain much of the original paint to save time and effort.

Mussed up the weathering pastels some by applying fixative too heavily, but it's still alright and I'm mostly fine with it. Lessons to learn for the next ones.

I have that same truck. This looks great and gives me an idea of what to do with mine. Thanks!
