looking for a "walrus man"
« on: 24 February 2014, 10:41:03 PM »
I'm after something like a "Walrus man" in the style of that image

Any idea? I would say I have seen something similar but I don't remember where.
I was expecting to find it among the World of Warcraft collectible miniatures game, but no trace.

The Dragonlance setting features walrus-men called Thanoi in the frozen south, maybe some fans of the setting have sourced suitable miniatures. Hope that helps.

Those tusks might cause a problem to a biped, the poor chap.  :-)

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Looking at that picture, I am pretty sure that you could use a Dwarf as a base figure and just pop a head swap on it.

Maybe an Aqaulish from one of the Star Wars pre-painted ranges should be fairly cheap, although their teeth are more central.
Maybe a toy walrus head...

nice find! thanks for the heads up, it's really what I'm looking.
Have to check if the size (54mm) is an issue, thanks anyway
