These were blank dice, marked with home-made decals (using graphics from the Saga forum) and plenty of clearcoat. I'm happy with the result. Or I will be until I use these and find they don't roll what I want

I take it clearcoat is a varnish of some sort?

Also did you have to print on anything special or is it plain paper?

Some A-Hole on EBay is trying to sell his used SAGA kit.  Rules, already made conquest knights, the viking starter set already opened and used and then as a value added bonus of $76.00 (he figured that's what the dice cost so his homemade stickers are worth just as much!

I offered $30.00 for he whole lot, not the full retail he asked for...  Whenever people sell stuff without a price or a YBO, I offer $1.00.  If they dont value it for me, it's worth $1.00.  Some folks get insulted, but I hate the 'You tell me what it's worth to you and I'll get the highest price' crap.  Yup, $1.00.

Archie, yeah clearcoat is a generic term for spray-on varnish (usually car varnish).

The printing is onto white inkjet decal paper. There's an article on my blog about making shield decals, which details the whole gory process. Basically, you come up with your design (easy in this case, 'cos the Saga forums provide!), print it onto decal paper, clearcoat once dry, then apply as per old fashioned model decals.

I used white decal paper because it's more opaque and most printers don't print white (they just don't print into that bit). There's a company that sells on Ebay, imaginatively called Mr Decal Paper that I buy from.

Whole sheet. What I do is print the designs onto plain paper, then cut a bit of decal paper marginally larger. Then stick the bit of decal down with sticky tape onto the paper, just over the original design. Runit through the printer. After clearcoating, you cut the design out carefully with your favourite tool. Time consuming, but cheap.
