Thanks all for responding and putting in your two cents.

I like the look of Gruntz, I just dont like painting/playing anything under 25mm.

I've got a big 40k collection also.

The reason I ask is because Warmachine has a great mechanic where the Warjack (mech) is like the main punch in the force with infantry to help, and the glass cannon warcaster (Leader). I love the mechanic where if the Warcaster gets killed the game is over. Up's the strategy.

It dosnt have to have that exact mechanic but something with some infantry a leader and a big walking mech to punch things along.

Can any of you think of a game that includes walking mech's in a 28/32mm scale?

p.s
I love the not to distant future troops look of titanfall and mercs.

I too have been toying with some ideas for titanfall. I have not come up with much. I would love to throw this kind of game on the table. I think DreamForge has some cool robots that might be ok.
I think modifying Gruntz to 28mm and to match the xbox is the best options I have seen.

Infinity's style of play would fit very well with a first person shooter, but it would take some tinkering to get the titans to work right in the rules.
No Limits is another good possibility with no tinkering.

Keep us posted on your progress and what you work out.

Infinity has some small mechs called TAGs I think.  But the game itself is skirmish level.

Yep tags.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Also highly agile movement rules which might fit Titanfall.

I should think the majority of  "generic" scifi game that accommodates 28mm gives some mech options actually. Defiance certainly does, but it's nothing like WARMACHINE as a game:
http://www.mj12games.com/defiance/

Some non-generic ones too, aside of Infinity, tho I can't really think of any that truly closely resemble WARMACHINE. Warzone Resurrection is perhaps closest since it does have the badass hero leader angle, annoyingly hard to kill walker/mechas, nasty gimmicks available to troops and even a couple of core rules that are fairly obviously inspired by Wm. The base mechanic is however quite different so may not be to your taste. Also IIRC Urban War has mechas (called CLAUs) even in their newest edition, but it is even further removed from WARMACHINE.

Nope.  Closer to 50mm (they are small TAGs).
Designed for boarding actions/orbital defence duties on the space stations and such - where the larger TAGs just won't fit.

Well, considering the type of game that Titanfall is and the design history of the guys behind the game, I'm thinking that The Battlefield might be just what you're looking for with only a few simple modifications. :D

I'm around if anyone needs any help!  ;)

I don't know the system but that might be a very good call.

I like the fact they are only 15mm because it means that the "Not" Titan doesn't have to be huge and expensive to be at all in scale.
