Russian VSF Miniatures

Thought I'd share my WIP Russian company, which I will mainly be using for IHMN
These first figures are a Brigade Games Priest and Grenadier, from their Steampunk: Russian Empire Character Pack and a (West Wind?) wolf.
I'll add the rest of the company as I do them, and hopefully finished pictures eventually.

Dopey moi, I thought the soldier was from an earlier period, though I'm no expert on uniforms.

The Pavlovski Regiment wore this style until at least 1914.

Or maybe the (clockwork? steam?) device attached to the spine and legs keeps the Tsar's favourite soldiers functioning long after their time?

I have more to paint. More grenadiers, and more Russian characters.

Congrats Elprez, you beat me to it.  Despite my good intentions these chaps have been sitting patiently in my painting queue for well over a year.  Nice to see them on the VSF page at last even if they aren't mine

I have to admit I have been tempted by these figures after I purchased the steampunk adventurers. After all some sort of hero needs to lead my Cossacks!

Yep, I was taken with these figures as soon as I saw them (indeed, I have all the Brigade Games "Steampunk" range), and have had for long enough to feel guilty for failing to get around to painting any, 

Anyway, after having a stern word with myself, I have finally made a start, and maybe posting pics here will spur me on to finish the entire company, which currently numbers 14 figures, all of which have at least been undercoated.

@ Sterling Moose - I look forward to seeing your versions.
@ Northtroll - Do it. You know you want to. And it might convince Brigade to continue to increase the range.

I like the silly clockwork/steam contraptions connected to their legs, powering their inexorable advance.

Done a little more painting this evening.

and I've made a start of the officers from the same pack, and inked the priest, prior to a little highlighting

I think I've sorted out the strange yellow effect of the last photos (still very much learning on this photographing miniatures thing)
So, here's the progress so far with the officers and priest, and a (hopefully better) picture of the grenadiers and the wolf, and also undercoated miniatures of some of the rest of the company
