That manticore is a great conversion. The ogre head fit very well.

Some excellent sculpting and painting on display in this thread - that manticore is brilliant! My own greenstuff skills are limited to filling gaps, so I'm always in awe of those folks who can produce such results - well done!!
Adventures? Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!

Great conversion there. Love the human looking face but still with a bestial look to it. The ogre was he right choice.

I love the manticore conversion - looking forward to seeing it painted and in action on the tabletop.

Wow, great looking game. The more I follow this forum, the more I am convinced to steer my gaming habits toward "generic" rulesets (i.e. those that come without an associated model line).

I enjoy those games more, because I can use the models I like the most.

I must say, I'm overwhelmed by the number of positive responses on the manticore, thank you all! Now I'm getting nervous of painting him  o_o

So.. I started out with some of the other warband members. Here's wip of a big, angry demon Tom the apprentice can summon.

And I The apprentice:

Nice work. That's pretty much the same colours I used on my Confrontation Fomorians. They just ask to be painted red don't they?
Are you going to put script onto the scroll?

Thank you :) They sure do, and I think it's a pretty fun figure to paint, lots of lovely texture.

So, I haven't updated this for a long time. That doesn't mean I haven't painted anything, quite the opposite, in fact. So prepare  for a huge update which I think I'll stretch over a couple of days.

First. Tom the apprentice, the manticore and the demons, he summoned from his scroll during our four man SoBH campaign which I ended up winning. Other than these demons and the manticore, he had some goblins join him; they have already appeared in this thread.

Tom

The manticore Bahadur

This is the minor demon Boom Boom. He holds the spell fireball. When Tom summons Boom Boom, he knows the spell.

This is Abi. He holds the spell blast.

This is Gaas'Olin. He holds the spell wall of fire.

And lastly, this is Gal'Ihoet, a big, angry heavy hitting demon. He had some fun duels with Affun's chaos warrior during our campaign.

The entire gang:

Welcome on board. Really nice looking minis, I concur that the idea with wolf-rider elf is an excellent one, makes the Wood Elves very feral.

Brings back Wendy Pini flashbacks from back in the day.
