INEPTT After Action Report - The Rescue.
« on: March 31, 2014, 03:49:56 AM »
SOOF was fortunate to be able to recover the relic south of Dar El Salaam and then hire the same Tramp Steamer to take it to Toulon, France. Taken to a Top Secret location outside of Paris, research commenced on the relic itself and with the relic, SOOF had gained the first victory in starting to understand and control the Ancient Evils and Goods that were left on earth since the beginning of life on our planet.
But not all evil stems from Ancient Evils and not all good and evil is occult. SOOF and DAJ/DOJ teams were notified that a leading ancient occult research team had been captured by a Moroccan warlord by the name of Abd-el-Krim. The warlord was well established in an area of Morocco that was not under any sort of colonial control by France, Spain or Germany. In early April 1911, SOOF as well as DAJ/DOJ teams were dispatched to attempt a rescue of the research team from Abd-el-Krim's stronghold.

Abd-el-Krim had built himself a well defended enclave. Close to the Mediterranean Sea, he paid for a canal to be built across a small isthmus which in time of need would allow him to block the bridge and then be able to defend what would be an island.

The Map

Four teams converge on Krim's enclave. There were, 1 French SOOF team , 1 British SOOF team, 1 Canadian SOOF team and 1 Russian Occult Bureau team.

A view of Krim's enclave.

A second view showing one of two Maxim machine gun posts.

The SOOF teams enter the enclave in near darkness. The truck lead the way awakening many of the garrison who quick ran out to see what was happening.

The mercenaries rushed out and were brought under intense fire from three of the four INEPTT teams.

The fourth team (Canadians) moved quietly in from the North and using their wood axes chopped up another two mercenaries.

The Canadian team move towards one of the canal boats.

The other three teams rush towards the bridge or take up firing positions waiting for dawn to break.

Rushing across the bridge, the teams are made visible to the two maxim machine gun posts.

The Canadian team clamber into a boat and start across the canal, they too run the risk of exposure to the dawns light.

A major fire fight breaks out between the three SOOF teams and the remainder of the garrison. Although there are no deaths the SOOF operatives take a number of wounds.

Eliminating the maxim machine gun posts, the teams cross the canal bridge to rescue the research team. Magical soldiers had played a vital role in taking out some of the mg crews.

Eliminating Krim's body guard and rescuing the research teams only one guy left and that is Krim. Unbeknownst to any one Krim (often called the lion of the desert) is actually a shape shifter (Lycanthrope!). As the Russian agent attacks him he changes and bites the Russian - which can't be good.
The teams decide to leave and take their leave and exit the table.

The SOOF teams leave, and as they leave the air becomes electric with occult energies. Krim is not done!

A background worthy of Dennis Wheatley, add a touch of Pegasus bridge and an evil mastermind with ill intent.

Perfect.  :-*
