I for instance have a large pile of random dreamblade and mage knight models that suddenly look very appealing to use as super hero or villain. Extremely rewarding!  :)

The genre has a lot to work with, and now is the right time to get in.

Sorry!  We shot a lot of the initial video content all at once, so I am afraid the sound will be the same.

When we make the next batch, we'll use the mic.

I'll try to see if I can reduce the levels on the audio to take the high-end out then :-)

You know I pretty new to the superhero gaming scene and the advent of S2 4th is what got me in. The past few days I realized how rewarding a genre this is. Very much the epitome of skirmish gaming. Every model you use has cool powers and abilities and with a bit of creativity you can use so many different kind of miniatures. I for instance have a large pile of random dreamblade and mage knight models that suddenly look very appealing to use as super hero or villain. Extremely rewarding!  :)

On a completely different note: Looking trough the powers available to a normal human most appear easy to explain, highly trained acrobats/athlethics or smoke grenades and flashbangs explain most of them. But Force Dome I just cant explain for a "normal Human" without entering superpowers or super sience explanations.

Yes!  That's one of the central selling points of SS4, IMHO.  You can do pretty much anything, and use pretty much anyone's miniatures for it.

The next video will feature some Crossover Miniatures (I think--not sure what order Rico will post them in), so it's an example of using whatever is in your collection.

Sounds like a good offer!

I was hoping for your guys honest opinion on something, I am currently churning over the stats for a rather heavy attack helicopter I have in the mail (pictures to follow I'm sure) and I am considering the possibility of giving it a pilot known as ace, who has "normal human" stats and super human stats with the "only in a vehicle" mod. I'm even considering buying Ace as a sidekick for the helicopter. While was rather pleased with the idea it mediately felt a bit cheesy. You know the idea of a guy who's "power" is superhuman piloting skills in any vehicles is pretty nice, but the end result still appears as a way to get bonus stat point for the helicopter. The model is fully enclosed and could well do with the Independent special effect I might add.
So what do you guys think, fun gimmick or cheezy min-maxing?  lol

EDIT: also flying says models targeting flying models with attacks should simply measure the linear distance between them. Does that mean you do not then add the height they fly at?

I would assume you would be treating the copter like an alternate form? I think it would work.

nono, just a normal vehicle. Who has a "dedicated driver" who happens to be super awesome when piloting stuff.

I could see this design perhaps two ways....

Buy the vehicle as part of the team with the hero cost of 75pts. Come to think of it you could make the pilot the "sidekick" I don't think there are rules against you pulling that with the changes made to the rules.

Or build the pilot at 75pts and buy the coptor as a sidekick.

One of my players wants a "Mimic" character from Exiles...not quite sure how to represent this one, as "copy power" only lets you choose one. Mimic can copy up to five. Should that be a pool maybe?

50% Superfigs, how can I resist?

Also, how do I claim, will I have to wait until after the KS?

I asked that on the update and was told there will be a special code for backers after the KS ends. :)

This could be bad for the lead pile....

Thats exactly what i was thinking. (Should have worded that better) point is, especially when i give the pilot higher stats with a "only in vehicles" mod isnt that a bit like a cheap way toget more point for my vehicle?

Negative Ghost Rider.....Copy Power allows you to target up to 3 powers. While not 5, 3 is more reasonable and should work for the player's needs. Or have them make an Elemental Pool called Power Mimic, could even add Omni then to limit it. Make it like Super Adaptoid.

Folks, I am not going to sugar-coat this--we've lost momentum.  If things don't improve dramatically in the next few days, we may have to look at some contingency plans.

I wanted this to do well, but on my own terms, and I am willing to go out on my own terms too.

In any case, SuperSystem 4th ed. will exist and be available for sale at some point soon.  It just won't be in shops, or in the nice, hardcover edition we imagined for it.

I want to thank everyone who has supported us--your belief in us heartens me and will motivate me to see the book to its completion.

Thanks, again!
