My Vampire
« on: 07 July 2008, 07:21:34 PM »
Hi folks.
Yesterday i´ve painted the limited german Vampire comming with my copy of the SOTR ruleset.
I really like this model and it was much fun painting it and detailing it`s base.

Hope you enjoy it:

Good paint job!
I like him especial because he does not look gothic- but very (W)WW2-style. Most figures I`ve seen of this model look for my taste just like fantasy-vampires, your take catches the feeling of WWW2 perfectly!
So keep painting ;)

P.S.: Excuse my english, I´m still learning it  ::).

Nice work - with vampires I always finds it hard to get the teeth to look right (ie really nasty) this mini does that well - not a figure you would want to wander into on a battlefield (or anywhere else for that matter!)

Thanks everyone :)

@ Innsmouth-Fritz:
Well, normaly he would wear a black uniform because he`s an occult beast and therefore belonging to the SWD (Special Weapons Development). But I thought that a black uniform would attract too much attention ( excepts when it`s dark out there ;) ), so I´ve decided to give him a camouflage uniform. Personally I think that this uniform fits better onto the battlefield and of course into WWII field-action ;)

Well, when it`s belonging to your force it would be a plesure seeing it, wouldn`t it? ;)

Well, here`s another picture of my Vampire:

Have built this little "marker" today to represent the Vampire turning into "the Mist". It´s really simple to built, you only need a base, some base detail and some cotton wool. And i think it looks better than using a sheet of paper or anything else :)

Very nice indeed!
I picked this min up when I got my SOTR rules and you've inspired me to paint it!

I love the idea with base, simple but very effective.

Excellent stuff!

I think so, too. Also, th historical official SS uniform was black, but the fighting troops (like the Waffen-SS) used camoflage uniforms, so why shouldn`t the SWD have access to camoflage as well?

Es scheint, als sei dieses Forum von unseren Landsmännern durchsetzt, nicht wahr? Naja, bei der URL (.de) hätte ich mir das ja denken können... ;)

Very Cool Vampires there.

I love the hair on that one, very Hitlerite.
