You said 120 miniatures in your collection?

wow... :o

Just keep them coming

Excelent work and ideas Mark.

The veteran legionaires as bodyguards results very well and the painting is top class.

Cheers

A few more patricians on the workbench.

excellent job mark !

You remember me that roman use other colors than red or white.

Now , because of your pics,  i need to paint some of my plebs in blue or similar colors...... :'(

Like too your graffiti on the wall !

I have tended to use whites, creams, browns, greys, yellows, light green and orangey russet colours for my plebs. Most of these I have tried to make more dull rather than rich bright colours. I've used brighter greens, blues and reds on my equites and patricians as well as rich merchants. For the candidates and senate members their tunics and togas get an extra white additional highlight of white!

A six point SAGA mob. Two points of gladiator bodyguard, another point of veteran legionaries as a bodyguard, two points of thugs and a point of great unwashed. All led by Milo the gang leader.

I'm really liking them!  What the textured surface that you are using, please?

Thanks Simon. The board is 6mm mdf covered in wall paper that is textured a bit like cobbles and various round and squarish pieces of card. All painted dark grey and dry-brushed up in lighter shades.

Hello all

Well done Mark. :-*
Excelent tips for my gang forces for SAGA.
One is complete, the other still has some bits to had. I have to make two to convince my older brother to game with me so everything must be doubled.
The painting tips are also very usefull.

Cheers

Hi Rui,
It sounds like you are doing well. We started off with four point mobs with about 25 figures per side but it will play with less. About 17 per side is a minimum for a half decent game. I plan to do a Roman military battle board to represent the troops used by Pompey to quell the troubles. I'm intending on making these a bit smaller in number. I've another 24 odd great unwashed on the painting table too.
