Plague for Deadzone
« on: April 27, 2014, 04:22:30 PM »
Hi all
Here is a picture of my start into the Deadzone universe. Tried the game at GothCon this year and went strait away to the stores and bought one of my own +one more +a lot of other stuff to the game :) The game hooked me right away, a combination of miniatures game, board game and some card management, lovely!
Here they are anyway:

Well two more done! The photos are not good, sorry for that. But they do give a hint on the miniatures that I am painting. I really like these miniatures from Mantic games.

Now I am about to start with some of the larger miniatures to Deadzone, some plague 1 and 2:s. More pink and bone on these :)

Nice brush work.

Every time a bad person dies, a Paratrooper gets his wings.

Thx CptJake.

Here are some more pictures of my progress with the Plague models. I think this are good models but the plastic are a bit soft and sometimes I wonder how they thought when they sculpt the masters. At the moment I am putting tighter the Enforcers and it is about an hours work to get one model finished. But after they are done they are nice to paint with a fair amount of details. So well done Mantic for this.

Here are some pictures of the plauge:

The 1A is a very large model and took me about a week to finish. I am not totally happy with the bone armor but it will do.

Here are all the miniatures that I have done up to date. At the painting table there are a nr 2 and soon some enforcers.

While these are a lot brighter pink than I would have chosen, they are still VERY nicely painted. I also like the clear bases. Really well done.

Thx Obsidian. They are really pink I agree. But that was what I was going for so I am happy with it :) I tried to follow Mantics painting scheme as good as I could. But I wanted them to look like infected convicts hence the orange clothing on the troops. I like the miniatures and they are fun to paint.

Thanks for the input to all of you. The orange I can agree has some problems to pop on the model. My idea here was that they were convicts that got infected and therefore the orange clothes. Will do two of them in i a khaki uniform color and see what happens. Anyway here are one more plague model, a 2A. I also have painted one of the enforcers so I put him up here to. Despite that he is not a plague... :)

I tried to get him to look like a police more than a soldier. Therefore I went for the dark gray and white. I hade a thought that I would paint blue stripes on the white parts to but abandoned that idea for speed.

The enforcer figure looks good. Nice contrast balance on the white, grey and black.

Great stuff Oath!  We really love the game out here too but my painting progress is horrid slow due to work.

I plan on trying an all out beast force for a campaign, almost as though the planet that was infected only had animals and such.  The other guys are gonna hate all those fast movers  8)  lol
