Well, as for mechanics, OGAM is just SoBaH with units, and the deities add an extra layer of power to the heroes that could be used in that.
I don't expect OGAM games to be deep tactical experiences - simply too much power/magic/randomness going on for that, but for an easy pick-up beer-and-pretzel (actually mead-and-potatohips) game for some hours of fun where you can relax and play a couple of games in an overseeable amount of time, I think it will serve its purpose.
I also bought it because of the unit size (4-8 models), to have something in between individual model skirmish games and larger unit skirmish games to paint those few extra models for - but I have already unearthed and dusted off my Wargames Foundry Celt army, that I bought maybe 20 years ago for WAB, but never got started on, and I have planned both an OGAM force of Celts, and a Greek/Roman warband using some plastic WGF Caesarean Legionaires I have a box of + a few extra bits and bobs, so I think it also serves its purpose in regards of inspiration.
