Sweet! I've only seen the first one, but I could definitely go villain and hero with those two. I wonder what scale they are...the second batch of Sedition Wars figures were ridiculously small and thus largely (er, small-ly?) unusable.

Yes, they could be a variety of "sizes" from the pictures.  Interesting figures.

AM I just so far out of the loop about 25+ mm figures that those prices surprised me or are they high end costing?

Gracias,

Glenn

I couldn't spot the prices to say for sure but 28mm has a whole range of different prices minitures.

Infinity minitures range from 7-10 for basic character infinty as do many skirmish games. I wanted to get into infinity and love the models but that price is just too much.

Mantic can have plastic troops ranging from 1-3 quid with metals being 6 or so

Perry minitures do metals for about 7 quid for 6 and do plastics that work out about 60p each at times. 28mm is a mine field of different prices.

Studio McVey is at the high end of prices along with the likes of Knight Models. But there are many companies including GW and Privateer whose prices are creeping up that way.

However there are many more that are more reasonably priced, which end up looking just as good after painting and are actually more friendly to paint for the average painter, i.e. me.

Okay, Studio McVey stuff (usually outstanding "IIRC" in my dotage) has caught my eye in the past but the price of 25+ mm figures are a secondary reason (primary is planning for pending retirement with reduced income and storage space in the future) I have stopped looking at a wide range of manufacturers in the past few years.

Gracias,

Glenn

Who thinks the first figure could be a Hero (if you consider vigilantes as heroes, not everyone does.)

Yeah, 10 GBP for one figure is quite high, higher than I'm usually willing to pay. I do like the robot dude though.  I can't yet justify $17 for one figure.  Top quality stuff though.

If it's one of SmV's top-end figures, I think most of them are done in resin and are cast in limited numbers. That might account for the price.
