Wargames Foundry Huns
« on: May 19, 2014, 04:00:20 AM »
I have recently acquired some Wargames Foundry Huns and I was wondering If I would be able to use them as Mongols or Asian steppe nomads against my friends Perry Korean army. I know they are about 800 or so years apart  :o but they almost look the part. Any thoughts?

I certainly don't see why not but then I'm not a purist. Lovely figures. Must pick them up one day.

Yeah, don't see why not.

There will be differences of course but for the most part they'll do  :)

Thanks guys, it's great to hear both of your thoughts. And I completely agree there great figures, especially the looting guys! I also think they will be alot easier than Samurai to paint and fit the bill nicely.  :D

Well apart from the sabres instead of swords (could always bend them) and stirrups should be ok. Personally i would avoid any in obvious late Roman helmets although generic segmented spangs would be alright.

Good call Stavros, thanks for that. If any look to antiquated I can add some fur caps and some Ming the merciless style mustaches! lol

You could add some of the Foundry Chinese colonial 'Mongol' cav and armoured noble horse as well, perhaps the command pack?

You could say that about almost any miniatures and still be right.
