Should I add some green grass to the bases?

Green grass is not so typical in norther africa. It is more brown coloured, dried by the sun. In the desert there is no grass or something like this. For bases you could use barbed wire and stuff like this as an idea?

Pish-posh Colin, these buggers look just fine.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Some transport for the first squad

This the Warlord plastic kit. Very nice and very easy to put together.
Still got the gunner to paint.
I have also added grass tuft's to the section.

Thanks
No we are just going to use stuff we had from pulp games plus the sand boards from our aquanauts  game. Got a few plam trees to base up and my brother has 1/48 scale barrels and jerry can set for a bit of decoration. Not really sure what else you can add to a desert board.

Looking good, sir.
 :-*

I think the tufts do make a difference, so that was a good choice.

As for desert scenery: I think that you SHOULD make at least one thing...an oasis.
Useful for lots of games and really helps set a scene.
 ;)

Not really sure what else you can add to a desert board.
Desert Fort-ruins, dead animals, skeletons, broken cars, Oil-Pumpstations (as object for games) and smal villages (like the renedra-houses). Oh, Palmtrees

My brother finished the oasis last night.
Took a photo in the sun today, It may need another coat of varnish on the water.
