My hobby is slowly dying it seems...

But! I finally finished the dreaded mariachi band. I really wanted to have a band in my game, but the lack of nice figures was quite pronounced.

So even though it took forever to get it done these were finished quite quickly. I didn't feel like pouring over them.  lol

They should add a really nice touch of humour to the table.
I may have to consider getting some myself.

Yes, those mariachis will add the perfect touch to any games set south of the border. Who makes them? Very nice work!

Thanks my good folks

I am afraid I do not recall where they are from. A UK manufacturer of some sort, but no recollection which. It's a few years since I bought them. They're not very good and I've heard that Bob Murch might be putting out a set soon, so perhaps wait for that? (I've also heard that Boothill MInitaures will, .... buuuut you never know with those guys  lol lol lol)

Another unit done! This time it is the dismounted regular cavalry.

I went down a different road this time. Much like my Zulus I basecoated and blocked out and then washed the whole figure in armypainter stuff. Sharp highlights followed I think it works OK with these.

Taking photos is not that much fun these days as I simply cannot get my camera to take proper photos. They come out very very dark. I wonder if it is possible that a digital camera can 'darken' over time!? Mine is from 2003...

EDIT: DOH! I forgot all the buttons! Will be corrected ASAP.

Truth be told I've always hated painting units. This is the only way I can manage I think.  lol
