Halo: A 28mm wargaming project: covenant troops cast finally.

So there's always been a reference in the Halo series to a non miltarised version of the warthog.



So I went on the hunt and found this little monkey:



And bought two 1:43 scale ones from eBay.  . Think I might paint one yellow



I like the fact that its slightly different and not jyst a utilitarian vehicle with a paintjob and a set of rims so to speak.  I might make it a rival company's copy and do one of my many as a true civilian version.

Either way it's a great little vehicle.

@dwartist - I hope you realise you are responsible for me going into an Evil Empire store at lunchtime and picking up a box of the GW Scouts.

It became rather tricky when they asked me what I wanted them for. I didn't think they'd appreciate "I'm planning to sand off the eagles, replace the heads with Pig Iron ones, most of the guns with Hasslefree ones, and use them in a non-40K setting with non-40K rules", so I waffled about "converting to special forces" and ran for the door

Should have saved yourself the horror and found other evil bays to get what you needed. :-)

Hmm you've got me wondering if I should cut up some plastic ones I know I have sitting around and give them pulse rifles. Does Pig Iron sell the Halo style helmets you sculpted?

I was thinking the same thing Rob. Think i might have some metal ones lying about as well. Either way you can usually find them for cheap in sources other than retail. I be looking for a few next weekend while browsing the flea market tables.  :-)
