Reviving my old Mutant Chronicle setting
« on: 05 July 2014, 06:38:00 PM »
All this fuss about the new Warzone and MTC have made me Think about what I loved about the MTC. I never liked Warzone since it was battlefield driven, but I loved Mutant Chronicles RPG from Target Games. I´ve spent to many youth nights investigating crimes in Luna. So lets get on with it.
I will get come back later and expand on the LSS background. (It have been a couple of years since the last time they where active and all my notes are long gone).

LSS- Luna Security Service
LSS started out as a small time freelancing security firm. Some of the individuals in the management were connected to some megacorps and managed to get some good deals brokered. As of that LSS grew into a larger firm.
About thirty years ago the Cartel offered them a deal. LSS assumed the role of police force in some large unaffiliated districs. Both patroling/peacekeeping and investigating. On the other hand LSS agreed that the cartel are a part of the management, and the brotherhood have observers in the organisation.
LSS crime fighting sections are divided into two large divisions. The uniformed patroling part wich includes the assault section and the plain clothes section.

Andrew Thornton of clan Bartholomew

Andrew was the third son of Eric Thornton, a captain in Blood Berets. Andrew spent his youth in Luna and after attending the Bartholomew Universitys military school with good grades he joined the Imperial defence force as a junior officer. He served for six years in the jungles of Venus and reached the rank of Captain. When his tour was up Andrew joined the ISC. He was a keen agent and took down many criminals. During this period he also made many enemies and after surviving the third attempt to kill him, his superior Juliet Bartholomew pulled some strings and transfered Andrew to the Cartel. For the first time in many years Andrew found himself back in Luna. Thanks to his background the Cartel attached him as an investigator in LSS.

Andrew, as most Bartholomews, likes to dress well. "If you are good at something, you might as well look good doing it" is his motto. As an agent he usually dress in plain clothes in his investigations, but only if neccessary does he dress down. Even though he is an born and bred Imperial he uses the LSS standard pistol, A m15 Bolter from Sherman arms. He also have a Piranha handgun as a backup.

Anette Bauer

Anette was born and bred in Heimburg into the working class of Bauhaus. She managed well in school and thanks to that could join BLEU as an officer. She advanced quickly from patrol officer into more investigative duties thanks to her charismatic personality. There were talk of putting her forth as a magister candidate.
Being a pious individual Anette felt that before doing so she wanted to go on a two year long pilgrimage. She spent the first year on Venus and Mars. During her time in San Dorado she got to enjoy the feeling of a more free World than she had working for Bauhaus.
She arrived in Luna and decided to stay there as a freelancer. After working as a private investigator for a few years and getting a lot of good PR from her cases, LSS made her a job offer.

Anette is considered to be very beautiful, and many claims she actually looks like a role model Bauhaus blonde. She tries to  dress well to make a good impression, but will dress as the case she works on demands. She usually carries her HG-12 handgun (Codex: Bauahus) with her even though it means she has to pay for ammo herself. She likes it because of its small size and it is Bauhaus quality after all.
