Did you have to do any trimming or green stuffing to get the head to sit properly? With a neck guard on both the torso and the helmet, I'm finding they interfere with each other and make the head sit awkwardly.

None at all!
The whole mini has a near perfect fit.
I pinned the whole mini with wire and used 2 part epoxy glue, any filling was done by the glue.

For the Gunner and Squad Leader I chose a slightly different camo colour palette. The green was the base colour this time. As usual, the more you paint minis the more you see flaws are strengths. With these minis - only positive observations, I just love the metal prosthetic left arm.

I finally finished the first half squad.

The Flamer guy and another Pulse rifle trooper are new.

I also added some decals to the unit.

Thanks, I chose US flags because they were featured in the A2 movie IIRC.
