Glad you like the dogskins folks!

This whole thread has been great.  Not just the paint but the selection and variety of models.

Glad you like the thread! I've never been that interested in army-building, so it's a succession of small projects and stand-alone figures which take my fancy!!

Very nice 8)

I've never known much about Confrontation, as that was just before my time in the hobby, but these seem to me to be the precursors to the Necromunda Ratskins?

Definitely :) It's the same setting, although the concept of the Houses didn't exist in the same way. I think only scavvies made it through as a concept from Confrontation to Necromunda, although several other things got tweaked and re-worked in some way. The 2017 release of Necromunda also included a big chunk of the Confrontation background in the rulebook too ;)

Awesome  :-*. I’ve never seen these minis painted before.

Love the nod to the amazing McKenna art, through the tattoos. Had to be done!  :D

As for naming the gang, the obvious, simple options are often the best I reckon.

@Raedwald - glad you like them! Like most of the Confrontation miniatures, they seem to be in that that sweet spot a few years post RT. The sculpting quality had been significantly tightened up, but they hadn't lost that anarchic RT aesthetic. It's probably little surprise to anyone who's followed the thread for a while, but the Confrontation range is my very favourite range of miniatures ever!

I've painted up a couple more of these guys - duplicate bodies of a couple from the first set, just with different arms. I also added the shades and goggles to individualise them a little bit more.

The gives me 6 gangers. More to come!

Great stuff as always!

I've found they cut at the waist easily, so you can swap torsos and legs to get more variation.

I wish I'd thought of that! I was so zoned into the difficult of head-swaps, it hadn't occurred to me to cut at the waist.  lol

Just to keep the Dogskin vibe going, here's two more - a champion with a big hammer, and a ganger with a demo charge.

Very pleased with how this guy came out:

He was based on an a Foundry barbarian (itself originally one of the Citadel AD&D barbarians):

More words and pics over at my blog.

Cheers! The dog head was a cheat though - its a press mould from another Dogskin figure!! I just bended it around the sides ;)

Superb, the barbarian conversion is simply amazing.  :-*

Fits in the the others beautifully and packed with character, while keeping genuine oldhammer pedigree. Cool.

@aliensurfer the Confrontation figures are brilliant. They bridge the years between 40k Rogue Trader and Necromunda, and (I think) take some of the best characteristics of each. On one hand, it's a shame that the game never got a proper release, but on the other hand, the range of miniatures is surprisingly big, and the game itself is the predecessor to Necromunda.

@Raedwald thanks very much! I'm really happy with how it came out!
